Red Oak Quarterturn Starter Step

This starter step differs from our standard left or right turnout starter steps because of the single rounded edge along the left or right sides that make a 1/4 turn instead of a full volute or turnout. This starting tread will have one gentle curve along the left or right sides and is thus called a "single quarter turn" tread.

Because there is no notch or cutout on this type of tread, "Throat Length" in this case refers to the overall length along the rear edge of the tread.

This tread is prefinished Red Oak available unfinished or in one of our stain colors.

Note: Starter treads and starter risers are sold separately. Order a standard starter riser with this tread and we'll assume it to be a quarterturn starter riser (the shapes of tread and riser will match each other). See Matching Starting Step Risers.
