This exotic species of wood has a salmon red to orange brown appearance. It is also notable for dark brown streaks that add a golden luster to the color depth of this particular species of wood. Thick sapwood is notably differentiated, with a color scheme of white to slightly yellow. Regular to irregular grain is usually slightly interlocked, uniform medium to coarse texture, rough and of low shine surface.
