Red Oak Starter Step Riser, Single Turnout
This Red Oak Starter Riser is used under our single turnout starting steps and is available unfinished or prefinished. Single turnout starter risers are reversible and thus can be used with left or right turnout starter steps. This starter riser is designed to be used in installations with starter steps up to a 72" throat size. Most installations will only require one starter step and one starter riser per staircase. The throat length will be assumed to match the starter tread in your order.

Product Questions

Sort by ASC
I need to go over an existing starter step riser, single turnout. I have two questions. Is the cneter of the turnout hollow and if it is what is the inside measurement. I need 10" of open space on the inside to go over the existing riser. If not do you have any suggestions.

Can this be cut length wise. My stairs and the starter step are alreaady installed. I thought I was painting the risers but have decided I would prefer to stain them the same as the steps instead.
