Details
Purely decorative in nature, many of our customers use matching cove moulding in their staircase remodel to provide a truly spectacular "finished install" and elegant curb appeal. Cove moulding can also be used to hide minor gaps, mis-cuts, and other minor installation "blemishes & mistakes." Roughly half of our customer elect to install cove moulding and cove can be installed at a later date should you desire.
There are a few other parts you will need for a staircase remodel using components in the Low Country Maple Collection. Most commonly, you'll need the standard Low Country Maple Retro Tread for closed staircases. If the right end of your stair tread is exposed, you may want to consider a "Low Country Maple Right Mitered Return tread". If the left edge is exposed, you need a " Low Country Maple Left Mitered Return" style stair tread. For the vertical space between each tread, you'll need either white risers, or matching Low Country Maple Risers. Cove moulding looks great whether installed over matching risers or white risers.
