All of our treads are solid wood with no thin veneers. This particular wood is Red Oak that has been stained with our Cherry stain color and then coated with our clear top coat. When measuring your stairs, if the carpet is still installed, and the existing bullnose still in tact, the measurements you have may not be as accurate for your new stair tread installation.
