Q:What type of finish is on the treds? Can you select the stain that you wish to have on it? If so, where can I go to obtain a color swatch? Thanks.

A:This particular stair tread is stained to our "Saddle" color and then finished with our Aluminum Oxide top coat. We offer this style stair tread in seven different stain colors. If you'd like to see all of our stain colors, we recommend ordering a sample pack with 4" wood chips that are stained and finished exactly as our treads and risers. Q:My stairway is open style so was wondering if the steps were stained top, bottom & all sides. Next question can they be purchased 34 inches long instead of 36 inches. If not can they be cut? Thank

A:Our standard and retro treads are not designed to be installed in an open or floating staircase. These will require a tread that is at least 1-1/2" thick. We can source these for you - please call sales at (866) 429-0979 for a product quote.
