Our Red Oak engineered real wood flooring is ⅜" thick x 3" wide with lengths that range from 24" to 49" and sold by the bundle size of 21.25 square feet per bundle.

Like our 3/4" T&G Panel system, this flooring can be used for stair landings, pie steps, and kite-shaped steps; but because it's end-matched, it can also be installed in hallways, bedrooms, and other areas of your home. The 3/8" thickness minimally changes the floor height and keeps the cost lower than solid or engineered 3/4" flooring.

This economical flooring option is 100% made in the USA with a 3.2mm wear layer of Red Oak and 3-ply core construction that keeps the floor stable throughout seasonal moisture changes. Engineered flooring can be installed on-grade over concrete slabs, or above grade on wood subfloors. Follow all NWFA wood flooring installation guidelines for installation and subfloor/slab preparation when installing. Full-spread glue is recommended but this flooring can also be installed with nails, cleats, or staples

Our 3/8" flooring can be prefinished in any of our standard stain colors or ordered unfinished to stain on site.

Measuring for Flooring

To determine the proper material to order, you'll need to know the length and width of your room (in feet). Multiply those two numbers to calculate your square footage and then add a waste factor for cutting. For simple square or rectangle rooms, a waste factor of 7% is sufficient. The more angles and walls you have, the more you'll need to increase the waste factor (typically up to about 10%). 3/8" flooring is sold in bundles of 21.25 square feet.
