How would you attach a 1 inch thick tread to an existing stairway? Would you need to take the existing cladding off and then attach the tread to the framing and if so how would you do that?
Is it even OK to attach a 1 inch thick tread to an existing stairway (i.e. over the existing cladding which is plywood)
