Product Description
The skirtboard (sometimes called a stringer or simply skirt) is a flat board that is installed along the side of a staircase. Skirtboards can be used to hide the edge of exposed risers or installed on the inside wall of a stair. Our prefinished Red Oak skirtboard is 11 1/2" wide x 3/4" thick. By ordering the skirtboard prefinished, you'll have a great match between your stair treads and your skirting.
Our skirtboards are edge glued like our stair treads with color and grain matched Red Oak hardwood. This edge gluing process helps our Red Oak skirtboard resist warping and cupping.
