Colors can appear different on screens due to varying display settings and lighting conditions. A sample gives you the opportunity to see the true color in your own space, under your lighting. This is essential for items like stained stair parts where selecting the correct color is critical.

To ensure the color on your device accurately represents the stain color of your new stair treads, we offer a prefinished sample pack with our standard stains applied in both Red Oak and White Oak, and now in with our standard sheen and our low sheen UV coatings.

Seeing the stain colors in your home's lighting allows you to select the best stain color to coordinate with the design and color pallet in your home. A finished sample of any of our wood species can also be ordered individually.

When each sample order ships, we'll email a $20 coupon code that can be applied to your next purchase at Stair-Treads.com over $300. The oak sample packs contains 2 pieces of each stain color to show the expected color range of each stain because the color will because no two pieces of wood are the same. For species other than Red and White Oak, the sample pack contains one piece, roughly 8" x 11-1/2" sample of the wood species.
