3- Right Return Stair Treads
Stair Treads with the "Right End" exposed. Remember, right and left are always determined as you walk up the staircase.

4- Box or Closed Stair Treads
"Box" or "Closed" stair treads have a wall on both sides. Only the leading edge of this stair tread can be viewed once installed, unlike a left or right return stair tread.

5- Skirtboard
Skirtboard is typically a 3/4" thick by 10 3/4" high board or S4S with one clean face that can be used along the edge of a staircase to provide a pleasing outline. We can manufacture prefinished skirtboard and apron in many different sizes and thicknesses.

6- Landing Tread
Landing tread, or nosing, is used to terminate hardwood flooring at the tops of staircases. Carpet can be tucked to it or 3/4" hardwood flooring can be installed against it for a perfect transition from the flooring to the staircase.
