  1. Q:Is the mitered section removable? I have spindles that need to be dovetailed into the side of the tread.
    A:The mitered return is permanently attached to the tread. Most balusters are installed with a 3/4" pin in the bottom of the piece and typically don’t require returns to be removed or installed after the balusters.
