Product Questions and Answers
  1. Q: I am looking to install a handrail that will need an "S"turn , and you have two different sizes . How do I figure out which size to use ? I have a partially enclosed stairway (wall on both sides ), and it opens up on the left at the first four risers . So the first four treads and risers are about 5"(open at left side) wider than the enclosed portion of the stair. So I need the "S" turn and I am unsure of the size . Thank you.
A:The 5" offset is the more common profile we sell. The 5-3/4" offset is used when the rail needs have a greater offset, i.e. with 2x6 walls instead of 2x4 walls
