Oversized stair treads are any treads that have a larger width than our standard 11 1/2" treads. Because retro treads tend to warp when they are made larger than 11 1/2" oversized stair treads are only available in our traditional style. Oversized stair treads are primarily used for larger staircases. Often oversized treads are required with winding staircases or treads that are wider on one end than the other. Remember when ordering oversized treads to order a larger length than what your staircase requires then cut treads to fit before installation.
