Product Questions and Answers
  1. Q:I'm considering teh Tigerwood retro finished tread and white retro riser. What would the skirtboard product of choice? Would it be best to match colors, darker or a white? Thanks
A:That's a great question and it completely depends on your style preference. You could go with a Tigerwood skirtboard but we have found that when most of our customers install white risers, the skirtboard is also white to match the trim in the rest of the house. We do make Tigerwood skirt if you are interested but if you're considering a white skirt, you may find it more economical to pickup a 1 x 12 from your local home improvement store. Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware, etc. usually sell paint-grade Poplar 1x's very inexpensively. In either case, we would not recommend installing a different species or color skirtboard from the color of the treads or the color of the trim.
