Starting steps are typically the first step in a staircase. These steps are a special shape and have a curve - or volute - on one or both sides. You determine left-turnout and right-turnout in the same way as a single return tread, relative to a person as he or she walks up the staircase. Our starter steps are sold separate from our starter risers.
