Low Country Maple Retro Risers

The Low Country Maple Collection offers our white hard maple in three stain colors and a natural (prefinished clear) color. Stain colors available in our Low Country Maple include:

  • Mt. Pleasant
  • Sullivan's Island
  • Georgetown
  • Natural (Prefinished Clear)

These prefinished Maple Retro Risers are the perfect products for do-it-yourselfers. Due to the thinner retro style, these risers can be installed over your preexisting stair risers without having to remove the old riser. Because these maple risers are prefinished, there is no need for the messy application of stain or numerous coats of polyurethane.

These stained Maple risers are solid Hard Maple and available in any of our Low Country Maple stain colors. They're 1/4" thick x 7-1/4" tall and available in lengths from 36" to 96" long. All our prefinished Maple products are finished with our UV-cured Aluminum Oxide top-coat for maximum durability and years of enjoyment.

Stair risers are the vertical sections between each step and are a required component of most staircase remodels. Sometimes, the riser is called a "kick plate" or "toe kick." Matching risers, such as these, add spectacular appeal & elegance to a staircase. White Retro Risers are also available and can provide a very pleasing "break" between step treads, especially in the darker stain colors.

There are a few other parts you will need for a staircase remodel using components in the Low Country Maple Collection. Most commonly, you'll need the standard Low Country Maple Retro Tread for closed staircases. If the right end of your stair tread is exposed, you may want to consider a "Low Country Maple Right Mitered Return tread". If the left edge is exposed, you need a " Low Country Maple Left Mitered Return" style stair tread. Also consider a Low Country Maple Landing Tread for the very top of your staircase and matching Low Country Maple Cove Moulding under the bullnose of each step.
