1/4" x 7/16" spline, often referred to as "slip tongue," is used to change the direction of installed hardwood where two "grooves" meet and serves as a substitute flooring tongue among other uses.

1/4" x 7/16" wood spline, often referred to as "slip tongue," is used to change the direction of installed hardwood where two "grooves" meet and serves as a substitute tongue for the flooring boards. Our spline is sold in 100 ft value packs for larger jobs or whole-house flooring installations. The average spline length is around 3-5 ft long. Wood spline can also be used to join the groove on a landing tread with the groove in hardwood flooring or our T&G Panel systems.

    A:The spline pieces included in the bundle ranch from 4-5 foot. The spline is made from Poplar.

  3. Q:Do you know if this will 4 half inch thick engineered hardwood flooring
    A:This is designed to be used to join two tongues of 3/4" hardwood flooring and the dimensions are 1/4" x 7/16" ovaloid. The 1/2" flooring most likely has a different tongue size.

  5. Q:That isn't what I asked. I asked how MANY (approximate quantity) are in one box. NOT how many linear feet are in one box. Understand?
    A:The piece count is random and so are the individual piece lengths, so long as the total bundle length is 100 lnft. We cut long length bundles (8-10ft+) into sizes that can ship via FedEx with the minimum length being 3ft and the maximum length usually being less than 6ft. Typically, there are approx. 20-25 pieces per bundle but that count can vary based on the length of the original bundle: longer length bundles will have fewer pieces and shorter length bundles will have more pieces so long as the total linear footage is 100.
