Prefinished Sapele Skirtboard

The skirtboard (sometimes called a stringer or simply skirt) is a flat board that is installed along the side of a staircase. Skirtboards can be used to hide the edge of exposed risers or installed on the inside wall of a stair. Our prefinished Sapele skirtboards are 11 1/2" wide x 3/4" thick. Our skirtboards are edge glued like our stair treads with color and grain matched Sapele hardwood. This edge gluing process helps our Sapele skirtboard resist warping and cupping.
