ORDERING RETRO RISERS WITH YOUR NEW RETRO TREADS

Before installing your new Retro Treads, you must first cut off the nose of the old step, making it square with the pre-existing riser. The nose of our Retro Tread is designed to give the appearance of a full 1” thick tread from the front. The overhang of the Retro Tread will only actually be covering 1/4” of the sub tread. Our remedy for this is to recommend that you order a RETRO RISER to cover the old riser and sub tread entirely before installing the Retro Tread (it is possible to install them after). No sub tread will then be visible from any angle and after only taking a matter of minutes to install each new Retro Tread you will have a beautiful new staircase.
