Hurricane Dorian is affecting operations this week

Update 9/6/19: We are operating on a limited schedule today. FedEx is working through 3 days of delivery backlog and is only making very limited pickups. We do not anticipate outbound shipments to move until Monday, at which point we expect to resume normal operations.

Update 9/4/19: Our offices will be closed starting at 11:00 AM Wednesday through end of day Thursday.  Depending on availability of power, we anticipate reopening Friday morning but that is subject to change with weather conditions

With Hurricane Dorian expected to either make landfall or, at least pass near to Charleston, SC in the coming days, Gov. Henry McMaster has issued evacuation orders for Coastal South Carolina, including our location in Summerville, SC.

Our manufacturing, customer service and sales operations will continue as much as practical, with the understanding that our employees may need time off to prepare themselves and their families for any turn in the storm’s path. If staffing levels fall below minimum, we will close until it is safe and practical to reopen.

The local interstate has been reversed making shipping and delivery difficult at best. Our primary shipping company, FedEx, has notified us that they are significantly limiting operations this week. The extent of the limitations will be based on the storm’s path and subject to change at any moment.

As of Tuesday, September 3, 2019, FedEx will be making inbound deliveries to us but small parcel (Home Delivery) will most likely only be picked up Tuesday and unlikely for the remainder of the week.

FedEx Freight (both priority and economy services) will not be making pickups for outbound deliveries.

This means that we can potentially make your order, and then assign a FedEx tracking number, but the material may not actually be picked up until later in the week, or perhaps even the following week. Once FedEx resumes pickups and normal processing of shipments, we expect shipments to travel as normal and any backlog to be worked quickly.

We will continue processing orders according to our normal schedule as much as possible but ask for patience, as lead-times on both production and delivery may be extended due to a backlog during this week’s potential storm path. We will keep this page updated as more information becomes available.
